Recovery Yoga (Beth Berila)

Learn to embody your recovery through yoga. Addictions, codependency, and disordered eating can rob us of our creativity, our freedom, and our loved ones. Yoga can help us reclaim our bodies and our lives. By helping us cultivate greater self-awareness and compassion for ourselves and others, yoga can help us heal. This class will help participants learn to embody recovery principles, so that we can practice qualities on the mat that will help us in our recovery lives off the mat. These qualities include nonjudgemental awareness, patience, self-care, self-honoring, and the ability to sit with cravings and discomfort. Participants will cultivate the self-reflection to learn how these qualities feel in our bodies. We can then make informed choices about which qualities we want to cultivate and which we want to let go.
